Cory Pigeau, another multi-decade Dom’s employee, proudly showed off his 1981 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 when asked if he was interested in including it in our anniversary calendar. Cory first set his sights on this particular Camaro when he was only 15 years old, seeing its original owner, Matt Wright, drive around town. He bought it from Wright in 1995 soon after his son Tanner was born with the intention of passing it down one day: “I remember bringing him in it in his little carrier, saying, ‘This is going to be your car.’”
Cory did some work on the motor and transmission in its early days here at the yard, but the car sat in storage for many years until Tanner was finally old enough to take over. Just as Cory intended, Tanner has continued to bring his Z28 back to life.
