Over the next two weeks, we’re wishing a very happy birthday to two of our longest-employed Dom’s family members, starting with Bob Hill. There are a few things that Bobby is known for around here: being very proud of his Native heritage, loving his numerous pets, dancing up a storm to classic rock, and drumming like Neil Peart on anything he can get his hands on. Bobby started working for Dom Sr. and Mickey in 1975, which means he’s worked here for almost 50 years!
We asked Bobby for some stories about his time at Dom’s, and he said he had a few on account of how long he’s been here. To put it in perspective, Bobby said he remembers seeing the Space Shuttle go by via the CN Rail tracks that divide our yard, likely after the installation of the infamous Canadarm for NASA in April 1981. He also recalled how much he loved the company softball games hosted by past-business partner Gino, featuring professional umpires and after-parties in Bobby’s own backyard.
We hope you have a great birthday, Bobby!
