First up in our anniversary series: let’s take a look at “Dom” of Dom’s Auto Parts… It’s probably not the Dom you know, though. Dominic Vetere Sr. was born the summer of 1915 in Toronto. He grew up in a two-room house with his Italian-born parents, 9 brothers, and 1 sister. Even though nowadays he’s remembered as the charismatic namesake of Dom’s Auto Parts, he also dabbled in the likes of bootlegging and transporting race horses before co-founding the company at the age of 49!
